SunnyKen > With the East Rim Drive below us, we peeked over the South Rim of the Grand Canyon near Grandview Point.
SunnyKen > Saturday evening, June 18th.  We arrived at the Grand Canyon in time for the sunset. Looking East near Yavapai Point, we get a feeling for the vastness and grandeur of this Canyon.
WARNING: you will see a lot of pictures of rocks and canyons. If you don't like rocks and canyons (despite the beautiful views), you may want to skip the next few pages and go to the last part of our trip, when we are back in Las Vegas.
SunnyKen > We stood in awe watching the sun slowly set over the canyon. The white ledge in the foreground was the favored condor-hangout.
SunnyKen > This view from our room shows the Barbary Coast  and Bourbon Street (two old time casinos) along Flamingo Road, with the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel in the distance - all framed by the mountain ranges that surround Las Vegas.
